This little video shows why you don't cross curbs going straight across them. My sergeant was kinda laughing at this one last night during roll call.

911, where is your emergency?

What a wanker. He's doing a great job of scrubbing that useless rubber off those tires.

You'd think he'd be smart enough to stop burning rubber after it didn't get him unstuck.

Looks kinda like ANC's squad car, eh?

I see no cap on it  Wink

The video is funny as hell, but it also looks pretty dangerous to me. The asshole driving obviously hasn't realised that if he did get over the curb, with that much acceleration he's going to be shooting forwards pretty quickly!

mmmmmmm This happened to my school bus 4 years ago. Except the back of the bus got wedged on a small grass bank aswell as the curb so the back tyres were nearly off the gorund.

The bus driver tried to dislodge the bus whlst we all pushed at the back. He spun the tyres for a good 5 to 10 minutes until eventually one tyre caught fire which then led to the entire bus catching fire with all our school books inside! This was just before my GCSE's. All my notes gone. It made one heck of a great excuse when my results finally came through Big grin

Ive no idea what ever happened to him. Although I can remember that we were all quite happy that we recieved free hotdogs and sausages rolls afters at school. Hell yeah! It's was only afew days later when we realised we were screwed for the GCSE's. We just recieved photocopied notes from the teachers.

Christ, if my GCSE coursework was in there, then I'd have gone in weather there was a fire or not!

Never had anything quite that bad before on my old school busses, although we used to have a seriously mad female bus driver, virtually shaved head and what little hair there was dyed bright red! I never knew you could make a Leyland Atlantean do 70mph, but she managed it somehow. We had a change of driver shortly after and got a better bus, which on one occasion very nearly overturned onto some houses. There's a lovely hill in Plymouth which is about a 20% gradient and also turns through 90 degrees, couple that with the temperature being about -5, plus the road not being gritted and the bus went skating towards the curb. Luckily we had a very competent driver!

That is kind of disturbing.

I actually thought cops were taught how to drive. I'm not happy that the clueless one behind the wheel has the authority to give ME a ticket! That's not right!

Ab-so-luteness! The worst possible thing that could have happened at that moment would have been for him to suddenly get a purchase. I was wondering if the guy on the bicycle was going to go around the front or the back.

When I was a kid one of my older brothers had his BSA 650 in the kitchen, up on the center stand, indicating 80mph. Not real smart, but lucky. The rear wheel never got a solid grip but it did burn a hole through the linoleum.

Happiness is not seeing another trite Ste. Maarten photo all week long.

That police corps ought to buy LADA cars. Had such cars twice on visits to Budapest, and with a LADA you even can cross the rail-things at the Ganz-Mavag works where the road from Ferih.-Airport to downtown goes through, and you can easily drive up the cobbled road to the castle hill. LADA is FIAT techniques but Russian WHEELS !

If that was a 1996 Caprice, the curb would have two ruts in it where the tires burnt through it.
