Four Israelis were wounded -- one critically -- when Palestinian militants fired four Qassam rockets into the Israeli town of Sderot Sunday morning, Israeli ambulance services said......Palestinian militants launched four rockets from northern Gaza on Wednesday morning and hit Sderot, killing one woman and wounding a man, Israeli police and medical sources said.
The U.N.'s years-long record on the Israel-Lebanon border makes mockery of the term "peacekeeping." On page 155 of my book, "Inside the Asylum," is a picture of a U.N. outpost on that border. The U.N. flag and the Hezbollah flag fly side by side. Observers told me the U.N. and Hezbollah personnel share water and telephones, and that the U.N. presence serves as a shield against Israeli strikes against the terrorists.

Quoting Pacificjourney (Reply 4): let's get the US involved .... Oh that's right they're already on the ground around there
if you carefully listen to GWB then you will learn that they walk from victory to victory, and that the USA sponsored "democracy" in Iraq shows its "strength" ! We all just fail to understand his wisdom and glory !

Well, it's tragic but, NOBODY cares....not even most of the Israeli Left....If you have read Ha'aretz last week you'll have seen plenty of articles about the Palestinian civilian victims of last week's tragic error, but not even one word about the woman who got killed in Sderot or about the 24 year old Israeli who lost both legs (both legs!) in that same attack.
18 Palestinians killed and you get the UNSC in an urgent meeting...and the UN GA issuing a condemnation and calling for an investigation and so on....while in the mean time Palestinian terrorists are continuously launching rockets at Israel and trying to commit suicide attacks. And in Iraq there are dozens and dozens of civilians who get killed each and every day in various shooting attacks and suicide bombings...but this doesn't seem to bother the Arab or the European or the American public opinions....Why? Is it because Arabs are killing Arabs there? I wonder...but bad faith doesn't seem to be totally absent....
I bitterly miss the livery that should never have been changed (repetition...)

A co-workers of mine recently went to Israel to visit her family, She spent some time with her nephew, who had lost both legs in an attack. When she came back, she had this overwhelming sense of helplessness and sadness about the whole situation there. She had told me "Yes, he survived the attack, but at what cost? He is completely dependent on the aid of others." That, for her she said, was a fate worse than death.
I think the worst thing about this whole conflict is that the ones who are making the policies that continue to fuel the fighting are the ones that aren't truly suffering the consequences. Olmert and the Hamas leadership have their bodyguards and people willing to die to protect them, but what about the everyday people that live in fear of a suicide bomber or an Israeli missle?
