Does this sort of thing happen in many other countries? I mean, it is a little inhumane i think.

I dont think that it is practiced in other countries as a way of execution. I think that this person was part of the demonstration and not actually being punished in that way. I might be wrong though.

One thing that shockes me though is that in the United States, 2 States still use hanging as a form of execusion!

I find this insulting that someone would crucify themselves as Christ did to make a political statment.

It's probably the cheapest other than shooting them in the head.

checkmark  I agree totally! Thats why when Peter was crucified he demanded to be crucified upside down.

Well actually the most expensive one I think is the lethal injection. But it is the state of Washington and Main I believe. I could be wrong I will look it up. Washington is a choice to be hung. You actually get to chose how you would like to die. Last one was in 1994 if I remember right. Main (or whatever the state is), is an actual execusion that is chosen for you. They say it is not a crule way to die because they have it perfected they say. Pretty shocking as I thought no one still did this in the United States. Now I know other countries do it as that is what they will do to Sadam in Iraq.

I'm sorry, but this guy is a total Idiot! Because i don't really think the Supreme Court will overturn the decision because some nut job is threatening to crucify himself.

By reading the article, i understood that this guy crucified himself to make a statement and not as a form of execution or punishment.

My question is:
Did he die? Or was it like a 5 minute show?

Let the flaming begin!

All of the articles I have read....4....do not state anything that he did or didnt. I would assume that he did not other wise it would be on National News. But that is just my thinking.

I read a report about Crucifixion in Philippines. Here's the link from BBC.

WARNING The Pictures are somewhat graphic
