It happened almost every year end (against the $)

You can easily see this at the end of 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and now it's still going on. Please note the maximum, on 28 Dec.

The € becomes stronger at year end and weaker in summer.

Do you have idea of the reasons?

This really really sucks...Im going to Europe for a month starting in a week.

Will all of you over there please screw up your economy starting now for me, please. Perhaps I can send some of my best friends from congress over to help out.

Well, some of us are considering flying over to you fine people after Christmas (plane tickets to the US are really cheap this spring) and spending lots of our cheaply purchased US dollars on... whatever, really. Won't do our own economy any good, and if it's not getting better, it's getting worse, right? However, when hordes of Europeans come and spend lots and lots och dollars in the US, you'll get flooded by (comparatively) cheap dollars.

Oh well. Merry Christmas, you damn hippies.

Cheers
Mats

Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.
