I'm lucky. For once, I'm home, and off work. Boxing Day is also my birthday. Since this is my last Christmas and b-day here, I'm really looking to clean up this year.

They can make me work Christmas Eve. They can even make me work Christmas Day. But nobody dares make me work on Boxing Day. I have tickets to the next Evander Holyfield match that day and I couldn't afford to miss that

Due to my four year contract...yep, all my college days at home will be spent working for our EMS. Can't wait to try our new ambu. though. Should be lots of fun, except for the cold and ice on the roads...and 7-7 shifts...oh well. It would be nice to have a break from work though. At least I'm not Thom@s stuck in Arctic conditions.

I'm on call starting December 15th until March 31st 24/7, so if it decides to snow on Christmas, or Christmas Eve, or New Years or all of them, yes, I'll be the big blue light you see emerging from the snow pushing it all off to the side. So get out of my way if you see me closing in fast.

I'm a little bit lucky as I'm working up intill Friday 22nd and back to work on Wednesday 27th before getting time off again over new years as I'm driving upto AKL, might take January 3rd off also and use that day to drive back home. New Zealands public holidays are:
December 25th and 26th, January 1st and 2nd. Its good that this years public holidays are on working days

Alas, I'll be toiling away Christmas Eve and Night, 2300-0700 each night. I have a Christmas Eve tradition of locking-up some fecking doofus or another.

Quoting Thom@s (Reply 8): 10 degrees celsius, mild, rainy, flowers and plants starting to pop back up, insects are coming back to life... Arctic indeed..
Stop! Stop! You're making me hate Prescott even more! (The whole reason I came to AZ was to get warm...that was a failure for sure.)
Ye heavens you're mincing my words, playing me like a fish as it were! I better get out of here fast before you convince people that I'm an eskimo who's been in cahoots with Jack Abramoff. Actually, I got Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Sid Meier's Railroads!, Neverwinter Nights II, Medieval II Total War, and Star Wars Battlefront II today, so I'm going to stay busy with them. (More specifically, a new route from Cologne to Rotterdam is in order. Wish me luck!

Was told to either use the 2 weeks of vacation time I've left for this year or loose them, so I've 2 weeks off
Wouldn't have minded working though, we cancelled all festivities due to my mother being in hospital still (and likely to remain so for several more months).

I finish work on the 22nd and don´t go back until the 28th. A good friend of mine is coming over to Spain for Christmas and is staying with me, so we will be rat-arsed all the time she is here.
