Great news for all the petrolheads: According to www.finalgear.com, Jezza has confirmed that Top Gear will be returning in week 3 in January (ie. most likely the 21st) and that they will be including the crash footage that nearly killed off everyon'es favourite Hamster.

It shall be great when it returns, looking forwards to it! I'm not sure about showing the crash footage, kind of a bit morbid, but as nobody was killed and I expect they have the Hamsters permission then it will be shown.

Our Discovery network showed packaged 'best of' excerpts of "Top Gear" for about a month last year. I wish their was a legal way to see them, maybe BBC America channel will get them. Apparently from what others said here in other threads on this program, the USA version was done as a 'best of' form as some of they were generally quite negatively critical of USA made cars and as many of their car reports were of cars we don't get in North America. Even some episodes of 'Fifth Gear' were shown on the Speed Channel a while back. I like UK humor and an alternative point of view.

This is exciting. I wanted to know if they sold these DVDs for US format? I have BBC and all subBBCs here in the states but am not sure if it will air on those channels. I know Hammond wanted the video to be shown.
