From "The Star" Johannesburg, Tuesday 12 December, really great news out of Africa, the establishment by 2010 of a new transfrontier park almost the same size as Italy or for our American friends more or less the same size as Arizona!
The new game reserve to be called the Kavango-Zambezi will be situated in the Okavango and Zambezi basins in Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The intention is to link an existing 36 games parks in the area that will see natural migration of animals, especially important for Elephants as this will reduce the need to cull them. Apparently the German Development Bank is a potential investor/donor in the project.
