Here is a link to the official Webpage describing a spectacular new stadium planned for "America's Team" -- the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League.

Enjoy!

A waste of taxpayers dollars plain and simple..If the Cowboys wanted a new home, they should have build it themselves with their own funding.

Taxpayers are only contributing $325 million of the $1 billion in total costs. That amount is fairly typical for taxes to cover for stadiums across the country.

Sounds like the Cardinals Stadium; but in this case the Dallas stadium is already $300 million over estimates and will only continued to go up, sounds to like to somewhere in the future the Cowboys will go will cup in hand and ask for more.

I doubt it. Jerry Jones is almost embracing the fact that it's over budget, and doesn't seem to mind, saying that every penny will be worth it. Lord knows he has the money.

You don't understand....this is more important to Texans than any road repairs, educational expenses or any other state funding. You don't interfere with the Cowboys.  Big grin

After all........we have the lottery for that stuff.  yes

Yeah only $325 million. Arlington could use that money for lots of other things. How about fixing the interchange between 360 and 30? Or how about building some decent schools?

Jerry screwed Arlington. At least they will get a nice stadium that will be used for about 12 events a year. What a freaking waste.

Just like George W. Bush screwed Arlington when he got the city to help fund The Ballpark?

That "screw job" was paid-off years ahead of schedule and is now contributing a great deal of money to the city revenue. It's a cash cow, and they made a hell of a deal. Landing the Cowboys Stadium was really quite savvy of them, and it positions Arlington to be the entertainment and leisure hub of DFW.
