So today let's discuss how you brush your teeth; do you use a normal or an electric toothbrush and do you start with the front teeth or the back teeth ?

I have an electric toothbrush, I start at the bottom right, then bottom left, then upper right, then upper left, then upper front, then bottom front. Then I spit it out and suddenly my teeth are clean. Absolute magic.....

I drink tons of Diet Pepsi, brush about 5 times a day with an Oral-B electric. Start at the back left fronts, move around to the back right fronts, then the back right backs, to the left back backs. Now I'll give 2 bucks to whoever can decipher what I just said.

It can't be Friday without a Friday stupid thread.
I use a regular tooth brush and start from the front. Brush in the morning before leaving the house and sometimes at night before bed depending on the meal.

I use a normal toothbrush. Tried an electric one, but other than the fact that it increased my electricity bill, it wasn't any cleaner than when done with a regular one. Usually brush twice per day, rarely ever three times, front to back to front.

I have OCD. I brush teeth about 5x daily. I floss about 3x daily. I keep floss in my carry on luggage, I fly often with my company, I keep floss in the console of the M car, and I keep floss next to my desktop.
I read flossing regularly will add 1.5 years to your life. I've never had a cavity in my entire life. I use a paste with whitener and baking soda. My toothbrush is electric and I replace the batteries monthly, regardless of their ware.

Quoting NeilYYZ (Reply 10): 1) I drink 12 Diet Pepsi at least every day, yesterday was 15 (I keep the cans until the end of every day and then recycle them)
2) I am a Dental hygiene freak, good teeth are important to me.
Well, maybe if you cut down on the brown sugar water, you wouldn't have to worry about your teeth so much .

But the real question:
does brushing your teeth really erode your teeth or not? You know that the outer layer that keeps your teeth toegether (enamel, or émail) isn't thicker than 2 millimeter on the sides. Eroding that and u can kiss them goodbye.

I am somewhat familiar, as I also have an oral-B, it buzzes every thirty seconds and does a long buzz after two minutes. I tend to split my brushing in no particular order to lower fronts, lower backs (and lower molars tops), upper backs (and upper molars tops), and upper fronts.
I only brush twice a day and my dentist (who is also my brother in law) said I was doing a good job at it 5 times a day seems a bit OTT!

lol penny-pincher are we not, DAL?!
I use an electric one recommended by my dentist, and it looks like it helps control bacteria better ; then I gargle with listerine and it really gives a fresh mouth feel.
26 Highpeaklad: If you keep on with that then your teeth will dissolve away before you get a cavity then it 'll be too late. Stop now!! Chris
