My cat is a complete wimp when it comes to other cats...

When he first walked into our living room, he caught sight of our big plant pot with two badger faces painted on the side and bolted it. One thing he's not scared of though is cars which worries me. I think he might just get knocked down one of these days  Sad

More likely a terrified one. For some reason, cars don't like the vets. Can't think why...

That is a cat that is terrified out of its mind. If it was being aggressive instead of defensive, it would have its ears to the sides and would be standing up with its body turned sideways and fur bushed out.

I think it probably needs some pain meds.

And  checkmark  again.

It's a bit irresponsible of the camerawoman to film that, as it is clearly upsetting the cat further. The cat may have been beaten or hurt by previous owners. It could be a feral cat. It might be in pain. There are so many things that can cause a cat to behave like that, and she was just pissing it off more just for the sake of making a video.

I went and got my cat to see if I got the same result... He just did a few circles on my lap, while purring, and laid down as this insane animal was screaming from my speakers... damn.

I'm gonna try this video on my cat tomorrow to see how he reacts, usually he notices these kind of cat sounds when they come from the TV etc.

My question is, how would a vet go about sedating the animal? You couldn't get near it to give it a tranquilizer shot. I suppose you could put a pill in its food, but would it really want to eat being in that condition?

I'm wondering if the cat is post-op from a neutering surgery. I know if I were to wake up during the middle of a surgery like that, I'd likely understand where the kitty is coming from.

After searching around a bit, I found this site: http://www.bitebuster.com/

They sell gloves for veterinarians who've gotta treat angry little vermon like that. With a pair of those, you probably won't have too big of a problem grabbing the cat by its scruff and administering a quick shot of sedative.

My mom has a cat that is completely wild. It won't come near me, but one day I got some work gloves and pulled it out from where it was hiding. It bit, scratched, growled and hissed like nothing else. I was okay though, thanks to the gloves. Till this day, kitty still won't be friends.  cry

Couldn't agree more  Sad

What frustrates me even more is that this woman filming apparently finds it funny to terrorize this poor thing...

I can't see what's so funny about a terrified animal that is most likely in pain?  confused
