An earlier thread on recently convicted U.S. Border Patrol agents Jose Alonso Compean and Ignacio Ramos was archived so I just wanted to paste this link where people can go to voice their outrage and protest their conviction. My own two cents says the Bush Administration is pandering to the whims of the Mexican government in allowing this judicial abomination and is apparently not receptive to calls for them to be pardoned. I feel this is a complete disgrace and hypocracy from an administration that boasts it does the utmost for homeland security.
"To support border patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, contact the White House at: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 202-456-1111. You can also send an e-mail to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales: email@example.com or call 202-514-2001.
I hope by some miracle or even divine intervention, this heinous miscarriage of justice can be overturned. Show your anger and contempt for this terrible act toward two men who were merely doing the job they were hired to do.

These wouldn't be the guys that shot a mexicans drug smuggler in the back as they crossed back over the border into Mexico would it, and was convicted by jury?
Ignacio Ramos and Jose Campean according to the US Attorney shot an unarmed suspect as he was running away and the went on the state if the shootings were justified they then have no reason to lie about it and destroy the evidence. www.dailybulletin.com/news/ci_4333711.

Jeez, I'm glad I'm not the guy who has to figure this one out. Seems like everyone has a reason to lie, and there's way too much politics involved here.
Good luck coming up with a solution to this one.
