Okay so that age old new years resolution is staring me right in the face, so just out of curiosity, how much weight have you lost and in what time period?

I've done 25 lbs in a year, but I'm sure it could've been more if I could "just say no" to Jack-In-The-Box and Guinness.

22 pounds in 4 weeks. I had to in order to apply for a position I wanted at work. I ran 3 miles every other day and my diet consisted of steak, chicken, and fish and water.

9 pounds in about 3 hours... summer football practice in Miami was a bitch! It was all water weight though... My first year playing waterpolo in high school I actually lost about 30 pounds in 2 months.

Next year will be less demanding business-wise, thus enabling me to focus more on my health (apart from my teeth, that were taken care of this year spending 2500 EUR for 7 ceramic-inlays, but this did not contribute to loosing weight).

Well, I'm 164 cm tall (5ft 4'') and I used to be 90 kilos (198 lbs)... back when I was on some meds. When I stopped taking the meds in 05, I dropped down to 70 kilos (154 lbs) in 3 months. Then to 60 (132 lbs), 5 months later.

I'm now down to 50-52 kilos (110-114 lbs).

So that'd be almost half my weight (40 kilos/88 lbs) in one year  Smile

Quoting Georgetown (Thread starter):
how much weight have you lost and in what time period?

65 pounds in about a month. When I first started playing football in high school I shed the pounds quite quickly despite being an active kid before that (though slightly chubby.) A bad side effect was that my Potassium levels dropped quite low and caused me to have a seizure one day. After that I ate an assload of bananas during the season, kept the weight off during the season, and kicked butt.

I wish I could go back to playing football now and get rid of the weight I picked back up.

Wuss! I lost at least 15 pounds each morning and afternoon practice during three-a-days on the Space Coast. I put it back on during the middle practice by drinking a ton of water while I was supposed to be practicing long snapping duties.

What for? Unless you're playing sports or something don't worry about it. As long as you're in shape, you're OK.

DAMN!

I went from 310lb to 230lb in one year, and have fluctuated between 225-250 since.

If I worked at it (but I need a reason to care, first) I could be about 200.

I find it so hard to put on weight. No matter how much I eat and hard I try, I just don't put weight on. It's quite annoying!

Three a days??? Yikes! The most we'd do was 2 weeks of 2 a days, with 2 hours in the morning and 3 in the afternoon... We'd usually do our serious conditioning when it was "cooler" during the AM practice, and work on position specific drills in the afternoons... And long snapper? Calling me a wuss? I was a guard, so I never had a special little "no touching the longsnapper until he looks up!" rule  Wink I know this is slightly hijacking the thread, but high school football really was one of the best experiences of my life, and I'm sure you feel the same way. So fun.

Yeah there's nothing quite as fun as putting the soggy pants back on for the afternoon session (funny how much I miss it though).

I'd love to drop about 40 or so by about June, but it just really sucks eating like a friggn' rabbit. I mean seriously, I can't do it. (I know, I know, Atkin's type diets are out there, but I don't want my blood type to be gravy).

About 35lbs in two weeks. I suffered a mallory-weiss tear back in June which lead to a very fast trip in an ambulance, many rounds of severe sickness and plenty of time in hospital. I've put most of the weight back on now and, apart from the inoperable colon cancer that caused the sickness in the first place, I'm feeling good.

It wasn't expected that I'd be here for Christmas but now I am, the family and I are going to have a fantastic time. I hope you do too.

Merry Christmas to you all and best wishes for 2007.

Just wait a few years and let the hormones in your body change ratio a bit and you can become prone to gaining weight faster than you can say Popocatépetl. Worked for me (unfortunately) ...
