Klaus: don't even think about posting in this thread!!!  Wink

While I have been glad to pound my chest about how good Vista is, I must come clean and admit that there is a real flaw. Hopefully they will get these issues nailed down before the 30th of Jan.

There will be more weaknesses discovered in this OS. About 50 a year for the next 5 years.

Thanks for the link. Was an interesting read. However, the flaw is still only a proof of concept. Windows is not the only OS to have proof of concept flaws... is it Klaus  Wink

Ive loaded Vista twice now on two different laptops and have still not been able to keep it on... First one crashed my laptop...expected that on a 4 yr old laptop. The second laptop I loaded the 64 bit version onto my "Vista Capable" laptop, but couldnt find the drivers needed for certain needed items.

Oh well, when it is finally released I hope the drivers will be ready.

Don't bet on it... Vista has a severe conceptual flaw there: The 64-bit version requires special drivers and cannot use the available 32 bit ones. It is quite unlikely that you will be able to connect just any device to any Vista PC...

MacOS X Leopard, on the other hand, will come in just one version which will automatically work on both 32 bit and 64 bit computers, with full driver compatibility across the board...
