Not too long before the traffic stop, that trooper was in deep yogurt for losing his temper and was reprimanded. When he encountered this moron, he thought he was being set-up or tested by Infernal Affairs and put on his best behavior.

Even that being so, I thought it was still amazing. However, there was a slight hint of sarcasm almost in his voice when he was explaining the ticket and such.

If I recall correctly, later he got into trouble again with his mouth..Speaking as a retired highway patrolman, every once in a while you get a clown like this, and you just chuckle inside yourself, until the violater drives away.

Urban legend, perhaps? I've heard the trooper was actually reprimanded after this stop for his sarcasm when pointing out that the violator had missed some of the litter on the pavement.
Can't say as I've ever had anyone get this irate with me.
