What is the correct dollar sign?
The one with on line across the "S" ($) or with two lines?

Both are ok, it's just personal preference.

Both acceptable and recognized, but I'd say the dollar sign with two bars is more correct because (I think) the symbol is based on the overlaying of "U" and "S".

In Australia it's $ -- one bar right through, but I always used to think it was two bars & used to write it that way, must be the American TV influence!  Big grin

By the way, I do not have a pound sign on my keyboard, but I do have a Euro sign next to the 5, ..but I don't know how to activate it?!  Confused

To get a £ sign on your PC hold the "Alt" button down next to the space bar on your keyboard and at the same time type the number "156" on the numerical keypad on the right hand side of your keyboard. If you want a € sign, type "Alt 0128"
