What Gadgets Are You Buying This Year?

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/products/2007-01-04-ces-year_x.htm

This article was right down my alley. I could use a digital camera and a digital video camera. I sold my "Brother" brand MFC printer (which was hardly used and very affordable) to my real life brother at cost. So I plan to get another one, and they have the displays, ports and functions that (I think) I would want for basic functions (fax, print, copy, scan, photo print - even private fax, but I'll be at home). I just hope that with the next advent of cameras and camcorders on the horizon that, should I buy discounted models (that still have great performance), that all the memory devices and add-ons for these will not also go extinct (somehow, I'm sure they won't). Anyone have an opinion on which way to go about these two particular devices (especially based on this tech forecast)?

And what kind of gadgets are you all out to buy/save up for this year?

I've got my eye on a 350D (or maybe even a 400D...who knows?), but I think I'm going to hold off until May or June since that's when I'll be using it 90% of the time.

I've heard some really good things about the Samsung LCDs. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours; they're beautiful televisions.

...yep, but smaller... 36" (or so) would be enough in my small appartment. In addition a Surround Sound system and a DVD player with a hard drive! Big grin

New cellphone. Mine is still an old digital TDMA (cuz I don't want to lose the number I have had for 4 years now). My phone company should be able to transfer the number to a SIM GSM card sometime in the next two months.

A new wireless Bang & Olufsen phone for my apartment. My old GE is dying.

A Video Projector. XGA quality. Sony preferably; Targa electric drop-down screen and a wireless home theater for my... home theater, duh!

Regular, not-so-fancy home theater for my bedroom.

Wine cooler.

I will most likely be switching over to Verizon this year so I will be getting the Treo 700. I will aso be buying a new iPod just for lectures. I already have a 30GB iPod video and will purchase another one because of the new iTalk coming out for it. So now I will have one just for music and videos and one for lectures.

Well I just bought a 30D with an 18-55mm lens and the 70-200 f/4 L. So I've been thinking about getting the Sigma 28-105mm. I get the extra distance with it without the bulk of of my telephoto. And it's only $190 Big grin
