I have recently rediscovered this album from my early teens and the memories came flooding back with the wonderful music. 10cc burst onto the music scene in the UK in the early 70s with "Rubber Bullets" but "How Dare You" is a great album with songs that showed that Kevin Godley and Lol Creme were maybe ahead of their time.

I'm Mandy Fly Me, Art For Art's Sake, Lazy Ways and of course Don't Hang Up are highlights on an amazing album. Any other fans?

That is a terrific song!

I have there 'Orginal Soundtrack' album (1975)
'Live' (1976) and there weak comeback album 'Goodley & Creme' (1985).

Can't say I am a huge fan but I do like a few of there songs.
I must say I am sick & tired of hearing that song 'The Things We Do For Love'.  vomit

Gotta love the lyrics...

I keep your picture upon the wall
It hides a nasty stain that's lyin' there
So don't you ask me to give it back

I know you know it doesn't mean that much to me
I'm not in love, no-no
(It's because...)

Prior to bursting in to other places that are damp.

Without looking at the snopes link, my understanding has been that 10 cc (or 10 cubic centimeters, or milliliters) is the volume of heroin typically injected by a user.

Now I'll check the link.

Edited to add: Hmmm...I guess the version told to me is urban legend as well. I could have sworn that I heard that from Kasey Kasem or some mainstream source, but that seems rather far-fetched doesn't it? The mind is the first thing that goes.  Wink

10cc got their name from Jonathan King who released their first records. King had had a dream about a successful band called "10cc". However, popular belief is that they adopted the name because the average male ejaculation is 9cc and the band was above average with 1cc more than that!
