To be an super duper official member of the club you need at least a 5 in front of the zero. (Source: AARP)

Congrats on your 40th, wait until you get a 6 before that 0, then everything starts falling off, you need instant glue to keep it all in place, only joking. ALL the best and many more

Congrats on achieving the big 4-0. It's not all that bad, in another few years you can begin calling younger upstarts "whippersnappers", and your doctor asks far fewer questions when you want the good drugs.  Wink

The day you miss lunch and go out for an early dinner, and the waitress greets you with a smile saying, "on the back of the menu are the seniors specials, hon," is when you need to start worrying about your age.  silly

I'm now just a bit over 50...I don't feel like it yet, except for knees, which feel 10 yrs older! However, this weekend, I got my first "senior" discount...was at a fast food place and asked just for water with meal...clerk asked "are you 55?"...said 'why'? He said "free small soda"...I said "I'm MUCH closer to 55 than you are"...I got the free soda..

So to OP, 40 is nothing! I wish I was that young again!
