Has anyone else noticed pages of this website loading slowly on a standard dial-up connection running at a speed of 49K ?

I just can't understand why it takes soooooo long to load some of the fine pictures and discussion threads on this site.

Not me - loads quickly. The pictures are big files so they take time, but everything bumps right along.

I have noticed, too, that this site does tend to load up at half-or less-the speed than other sites. Must be either server location or server speed or something. Might be a good questiong for Johan.
