Or Stomach Flu as some people call it? I came home on Wednesday with a terrible headache. I thought I must have a regular case of the flu (even though I had a flu shot this winter). Well, the "fun" started around 9pm and continued the rest of the night into Thursday afternoon. Thursday night it settled down and I was able to get a good sleep. So far this morning I've had some juice/jello and it seems to be staying put.
Gastro or the Stomach flu is somthing you don't want to get. I had it once in grade 2 and hoped never to have it again. This was my 2nd time with it and it wasn't fun! 7 flights in command of the ceramic airplane = horrible. Who else here has had this "illness"?
Supported the beer and soda can industry, recycle old airplanes!

I've had it last week - not fun at all. And it lasted from Monday night until Saturday ... I've never had it lasting so long, usually it's a one-day thing, but no, this time there was no mercy!
I know, most web sites say to "consult your doctor if *whatever* doesn't stop after 3 days", but the 2 pharmacists I consulted told me that there were many other people around these days having it for a whole week, therefore I didn't bother. Just don't get dehydrated.

Had it a few times, once with a salmonella infection to accompany it. One week in hospital, and a surgery later (to rule out appendicitis), I was still feeling like crap- lasted around 2 weeks I think.

Man made cases of "disappearing down the dunny" / "damaging the Dalton" / "(insert Site name) Belly" are even worse. One Mess at one Mine site was responsible for 87 cases in one day (out of a shift of about 140).

Yes I have had it. There is a little tip I can give you . Get yourself a bottle of Angostura Bitters, you find it in the liquor store. Take about 4 drops and add it to warm Ginger-ale and drink it slowly. It will take away the cramps and help with the outflow. My Doctor told me about it in Barbados many years ago and have used it ever since with success. By the way ti does not taste great but it sure works. It is used to make drinks in the Caribbean, but was originally used as a stomach medicine. hope you feel better

Quoting JAGflyer (Reply 10): My dad is too sick to drive to the liquor store, I'm too young to buy alcohol and my mom is at work. Plus I doubt my dad would want to drink alcohol at this point.
It is not alcohol, it is also sold in groceries stores, like Fortinos, Sobeys. It is a herbal mixture, and contains little or no alcohol. I see from your bio you are 16 to 20, take the advice of a person that has been around the block quite a few times, it works and get some to keep in the house for the next time you have a tummy problem
