It seems to be upsetting to some that "Harry Potter" will be appearing nude on the London stage, but recalling seeing the play in high school, there's really no other way to play it. Equus is a riveting piece, and I'm glad to see it's being revived.

Did your high school put the play on or did you just see it while in high school? I couldn't even begin to imagine the craziness that would happen if my high school had wanted to put it on.

Sweet! Just kidding. And strangely the AOC is sometimes lower in those oh-so-liberated and highly "edumacated" northern states versus thos backwoods hillbilly southern states.

Apologies for not being more clear. I first saw Equus on stage with a group from my high school when it was first performed by ACT in San Francisco in 1975 or '76, then again a few years later when it was done by a community theater where I had season tickets. ACT did full nudity on both characters, and the community theater did it behind a vanity screen.

I thought doing links was in better taste than the "best boobs", "best ass", "best legs", "most babelicious" threads we've endured lately. One would think most of the men around here had never seen a naked woman before.  ziplip

Very interesting I guess. But, it's a personal choice. The show is sure to sell out, due to the publicity it's recieving.

That's because of our highly-evolved, intelligent views on sex. cheeky

My my Harry Potter is growing up! Too bad the photos don't go a bit lower angel

There was just a little graphic on the news in regards to the case in South Carolina showing how many of the neighboring states in the south have the AOC at 16. I've always assumed it to be 18 everywhere in the U.S., since that's what it was in California where I grew up, and I never much thought past that. A quick Google search reveals it can be as low as 14 (!!) for females in a couple of states, news to me!:

It's about a troubled 17-year-old stable boy who blinds six horses after a sexual encounter in the stables, and the story revolves around the demons of the psychiatrist as much as the youth. I don't want to spoil the story if you haven't seen it--you can rent the movie version that's very faithful to the play, starring Richard Burton as the psychiatrist and Peter Firth as the stable boy. It's been described as a "psychodrama".
