Yeah. It's a scam. For example the State of Florida requires a casket even if you're going to be creamated. Learned that when my dad died. What a scam.

Jeez, I was just jokin' around, but that is a racket. I know that recently a federal law was passed that prevented Funeral Homes from having a monopoly on casket sales and the prices have come down substantially as a result, but WTF do you need a casket for if it doesn't have a body buried in it?
