Perhaps. But as long as he's still filling up seats or selling albums (aka making money), then he's still doing his job.

I never liked Sting's voice on songs like "Roxanne" and some of that other Police stuff. Sounded like he was straining, and had some weird accent.
I love his singing, however, on "Fields of Gold" from the late 90's or whenever that was released.

As Sting has matured, he has altered his style to match the profile changes his voice has taken in 30 years of singing. Perhaps he can't hit as many high notes on old Police songs but his voice still sounds great on his newer stuff and was never exactly conventional and even anyway.
