Personally I think Rammstein is awesome. I very rarely buy CD's, in fact I own two, but one is Rammstein's Mutter.
I may not understand what every word means, but I know what most songs are about. To me there's something about how the songs are sung, and how it sounds in German. Carson why is it you don't like Rammstein? You have never really said.
I'll leave with this, one of my favourite Rammstein songs. Mutter.

Big Rammstein Fan here, have all there albums and DVD's.
Sadly I couldn't get the limited edition Volkerball DVD with the book, because HMV deleted the item off their system on the day of the release, so I had to buy the version below the limited edition one.

Rammstein rules, no questions asked!
Lots of very hard stuff (Du Hast; Bück dich; Links 2, 3, 4
Lots of ironic stuff (Amerika)
Lots of ballads (Ohne Dich (IMHO one of the best ballads ever); Klavier)
And an awesome show above all.

I remember when someone brought Sehnsucht to a party, shortly after it was released. Heavy Metal in German, it was the funniest thing we'd heard. But the songs were great, and I still dig out that album and listen to it once in a while. Haven't payed much attention to Rammstein otherwise, but I like some of the songs from Mutter. Think I have to get hold of that album sometime.

I don't like them. I find the combination of screaming in german and hard guitar awful and revolting. Its not the german langauge is revolting but they way they scream it it sounds like hacking up phlem.
Support the beer and soda can industry, recycle old airplanes!
: Which was arguably their best album. pelican
: I have a couple of their CDs. I wish I had seen them live, I hear they put on a hell of a show.
: But... Rammstein don't scream like they are hacking up phlem... You sure you're not confusing them with a black metal band? Thom@s
: right on! i learn all of my german grammatical agreements from their songs. toni
: I learned what Du Hast Miche meant by listening to their music
: I am a big fan of Rammstein! Great listening to while driving in my car
: What? No one has mentioned "Dalai Lama" yet That's one of my favourites along with Amerika, Sonne, and Rosenrot. I also like Morgenstern Dalai Lama (N
