I used to listen to their music. I appreciate the music that they make. I no longer enjoy it however they are very talented (Their success is proof).

Some things are nicely ironic, but that's about it. I've no soft spot for Rammstein's hard music.

Damn Strait!

I do respect almost all music, including Rammstein, however I can't stand their music at all.  Wink

I like a couple Rammstein songs... For some reason, whenever I listen to them, I visualize the German stereotype that Mike Myers created/perpetuated with his Dieter/Sprockets sketch on SNL.  Smile

I do like Rammstein, they have some excellent songs, but I prefer Symphonic rock and a female lead singer. Still an excellent band!

Personally I think Rammstein is awesome. I very rarely buy CD's, in fact I own two, but one is Rammstein's Mutter.
I may not understand what every word means, but I know what most songs are about. To me there's something about how the songs are sung, and how it sounds in German. Carson why is it you don't like Rammstein? You have never really said.

I'll leave with this, one of my favourite Rammstein songs. Mutter.

It's not that it's kind of funny, just that it's more repetitive then anything else.

Big Rammstein Fan here, have all there albums and DVD's.

Sadly I couldn't get the limited edition Volkerball DVD with the book, because HMV deleted the item off their system on the day of the release, so I had to buy the version below the limited edition one.

Rammstein rules, no questions asked!
Lots of very hard stuff (Du Hast; Bück dich; Links 2, 3, 4 Wink
Lots of ironic stuff (Amerika)
Lots of ballads (Ohne Dich (IMHO one of the best ballads ever); Klavier)
And an awesome show above all.

I remember when someone brought Sehnsucht to a party, shortly after it was released. Heavy Metal in German, it was the funniest thing we'd heard. Big grin But the songs were great, and I still dig out that album and listen to it once in a while. Haven't payed much attention to Rammstein otherwise, but I like some of the songs from Mutter. Think I have to get hold of that album sometime.

I love their classic tunes, brings good flashbacks of groovin to that in the car after a night out, lol.

I'll check out those videos in a sec. Do they still put any music out?? Sorry for my ignorance, all we get here in the States on MTV and radio is hip hop, reggeton and crappy teen-rock bands.

Their live performances are a little too homo/weird for my taste though..

Rammstein is a great band and sensational LIVE.

I also listen to industrial music which has a lot of German bands and I don't have a problem with German lyrics - in fact it's refreshing to hear something else than English.

I don't like them. I find the combination of screaming in german and hard guitar awful and revolting. Its not the german langauge is revolting but they way they scream it it sounds like hacking up phlem.
