Fantasic! Congratulations to both of you and good work! That's a good list of CHL licenses to have, you'll have a large number of states you can carry in because of the reciprocity of the UT and FL licenses.

In the beginning, I'll just get MN and UT. FL adds a couple that UT doesn't have. Since FL doesn't honor non-resident permits, I won't be able to use my UT there. If I'm going to Florida I'll consider applying.

From the Michigan State Police Web site: If you are a non-resident of Michigan with a valid concealed pistol permit from your home state, Michigan will recognize your permit. However, you must carry in conformance with any and all restrictions appearing on the permit. You are subject to Michigan’s concealed pistol law including but not limited to restrictions on where a concealed pistol may be carried. States that honor a Michigan permit:Alabama
Vermont (does not require carry permits by residents or non residents)
States that do not honor an out of state permit.
