1. A View To A Kill (despite I hate everything else from Duran Duran)
2. For Your Eyes Only
3. All songs from the movie "Dr. No". I had all of them on my hard-drive as mp3 files but lost them when my ex-girlfriend killed my old notebook.  Angry  grumpy

Without a doubt.

1. For Your Eyes Only - Sheena Easton

My number 2 but then I had a crush on Sheena Easton when I was younger. Wasn't she like the original American Idol or in her case British Idol?

Quoting Speedbird747BA (Reply 5):

Number 3 but only because I think Sheena Easton was better looking. Anything by Carly Simon is worth hearing, although for the longest time I mixed her and Carol King constantly.

Coming in at number 4 would be Sir Paul and "Live and Let Die".

3 Sheila (Sheena?) Easton - For Your Eyes Only

The WORST Bond song is:
Madonna - Die Another Day  yuck

1: Diamonds are Forever - Shirley Bassey. I almost had an apoplexy when that f'ing Wyclef Jean did that appalling cover/sample.
2: Goldfinger - Shirley Bassey
3: From Russia with Love - Matt Monro

And number 3, the original Bond theme song, from "Dr. No"... Universally conjures up the image of Bond when you hear it.

This is one of the hardest threads to answer to. Why? Because most of the Bond music is excellent. The John Barry material beats the others cold! Some of my favs:

  • Goldfinger theme-Shirley Bassey (Instrumental version also rocks)
  • Thunderball-Tom Jones
  • Man With The Golden Gun---Lulu
  • Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang-Shirley Bassey
  • Diamonds Are Forever---Shirley Bassey
  • License To Kill-Gladys Knight

And those are all clustered together in a virtual tie. For the worst Bond movie/soundtrack I have to give the Spuds McKenzie award to Live and Let Die.

An over the top dated 70's movie.

I'm Zippyjet & I approve of this message!
