Let say for the sake of this thread you are stuck on an island on the ocean and have a MP3 player that can only hold 10 songs. You have no way of putting new songs onto it, but can infinitely recharge the battery. What 10 songs, if you had a choice, would you put on the MP3 player?

In no order...

1. Tool - Lateralus
2. Neil Young - After the Gold Rush
3. The Who - Baba O'Riley
4. Opeth - Ghost of Perdition
5. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
6. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
7. Queen - Don't Stop Me Now
8. Radiohead - No Surprises
9. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under the Bridge
10. The Who - Who Are You

That's tough. If I did this 10 different times, I'd probably come up with 10 different lists.

I never remember all the songs I love at any one time.

So, the ones I can remember right now:

Metallica - One
Tool - Aenima
U2 - Exit
Dave Matthews Band - Rapunzel
Freeforall - Burning Cows and Plastic Blueberries (that's my former band  Smile)
Ozzy - No More Tears
Who - Won't Get Fooled Again
Rush - La Villa Strangiato
Aerosmith - Living On The Edge
Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song

Picked 10 different bands for the sake of variety....

I would start searching the island for raft-making materials!  biggrin

Honestly, I would rather take my chances in the open ocean than only get to listen to 10 songs ever for the rest of my life. I might be able to make do with one radio station (Virgin Radio UK), but I digress.

1. "Love's Devine" - Seal
2. "Stacy's Mom" - Fountains of Wayne
3. "Move Along" - All American Rejects
4. "Life is a Flower" - Ace of Base

Its interesting that you brought this up. Recently I had an experience where I was stuck on a Greyhound coach for about 5 hours and for some reason I only uploaded 8 songs onto my MP3 player, not knowing this. Unfortunately they were just the first 8 from my playlist and were not all favourites, so it made for a very long ride.
