This comming weekend i will be in the UK for a few days, and i have some quick questions about how the RR sytem works. I will be going from London Chelsea to Oxford and then back from Oxford to LGW. When i googled anything about the railroads i kept on getting some crappy sites offering me diffrent passes, that i will never use.
Is there one site the i could go to check the times/prices of such trains?
Should I purchase my tickets online, or buy them at the station?
And regarding the Oxford Station, how close is it to the Airport in kidlington?
And would it be easier to take a bus on such a short trip? and if yes how any sites for bus schedules?

Best advice I can give you is to check out http://www.thetrainline.com
You'll get prices, times, what connections to make and can also book on-line.
Enjoy the train!

hey MNeo,
there isn't a London Chelsea station - i presume you mean London Paddington, which is in an entirely different part of town. direct trains to oxford are very frequent, fares around £15 return, or maybe a bit more (haven't done that trip for a while now). kidlington airport isn't close to central oxford, but buses run to kidlington from near the station.
as for getting to LGW from oxford, my advice is go from oxford to reading (my home town, yay), then change and take the direct train to gatwick airport via wokingham and bracknell.
good luck, if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to pm me.
