Due to unforeseen circumstances, it appears that Hkgspotter1 has been unable to start a thread tonight.

Nothing to do with a certain football team losing is it?  Wink/being sarcastic

Meanwhile, only another 19 games when a team in red playing in Northwest England wins it! I could do with Sami Hyypia and Micheal Owen being struck down with some kind of contagious disease so that 4 in a row can be achieved.

David/MANchester Utd 2 Everton 0

When you hear the noise of the Tartan Army Boys, we'll be coming down the road!

Not too sure that Bobby R. will win our League (though it would mean his CV would be exceptional in terms of championships in 3? different countries).

I hope that Newcastle don't get drawn against a team from a country which tends not to send fans abroad e.g. any Spanish/Italian side! Conversely, of course, all non-British spotters want to get our sides drawn against their side!

Just to whet your appetite, looking at my log for MAN for the Man Utd v Borussia Dortmund game on 3rd April 97 from 09.05 to 14.30, I noted these on top of our normal fare:

1 extra Aer Lingus
3 extra Ryanairs
Eurowings ATR72 + ATR42
2 extra Lufthansa Cl65s
Aero Lloyd MD83 (+ parked A320 from the previous day that arrived with the team)
Cityjet 146
2 German bizjets

All I want in 2003 is for ideally 2 German teams to be in the Final.

And nowt to do with the game, an additional highlight was MS A300 operating a Hadj flight

Saw both games... both Arsenal and Chelsea played really well... but well, just luck. Lucky Man U on scoring that 2 goals in the last 15 mins... but hey they were beautiful especially the one from Giggs.

quote from an article in the January 2002 issue of British Rail Illustrated. The writer was a signalman on the line out of Kings Cross

'Ashburton Grove seemed to be the name of an idyllic spot to a young lad, until i found that it was in fact a singularly scruffy group of sidings in downtown Holloway. It was plagues by rats, because it was used by Islington Borough Council for the transfer of domestic waste'

Hmmm,....no need for an application for change of use of site then!!

for those of you not in on this gag, Ashburton Grove is where that lot of thieves, drunks, drunk drivers, and wife beaters, plan to move to soon with a new stadium on the site

And to just to ensure the league will be a tad more difficult to retain, confimation that Andy Cole has just signed for Blackburn. Personally, I think it ought to have been Dwight Yorke that should have gone!

The last time Yorke scored, he was allegedly with Jordan  Wink/being sarcastic

Could have done with Saha scoring for ulterior motives....he's in my fantasy team and it certainly would have been better if Beckham had scored 2 and done an assist!
