If you have a dog or cat check the food you feed them!

Menu Foods, the Ontario-based company that produced the pet food, said Saturday it was recalling dog food sold under 48 brands and cat food sold under 40 brands including Iams, Nutro and Eukanuba. The food was distributed throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico by major retailers such as Wal-Mart, Kroger and Safeway

Luckly my 3 cats are doing good. I feed them Hills Sience Diet (the 4 year old) and Iams (the 5 month old kittens). Althought Iams is on the recall list the Iams website is down for maintance, so I can't check to see if it has been recalled.  worried

My dog died in october 2006 from Kidney Failure....... we were feeding him Iams.... but he was also 13. SO...who knows if this had something to do with it.  Sad  Sad  Sad

IAMS canned and pouched wet food is on the list, but not the dry food...

I checked all our cans of cat and kitten food we had in the house and luckily none of them were involved in the recall.  relieved
