Goodbye? I am a fan of saying Goodbye...

no, not really, this came around about 2 years ago when I first came into the aviation chat channel, I had all different nicks, so one day I decided to have this, and it stuck!

Goodbye!

Toadpipe, A character in the book "The Screwtape letters" by C.S. Lewis. I am a big fan of Lewis and his works. I always thought the names for the demons in the book had a queer sort of originality to them, not that I am queer or original or a demon, I just liked the name that is all. Note-queer in the old sense of the word.

Hmm can anyone guess mine?? Very hard I would say.
Ever since I flew into Kai Tak on a United Airlines 747-400 on the IGS approach I fell in love with that aiport. I spent so many hours out at Kai Tak that it almost felt like home. It was just a very magical/amazing site to see a 747-400 come screaming over kowloon city in a sharpe turn with the checkerboard and Lion rock as the back drop! Damn I miss that airport!

Well, how I originally came to Aloha 737-200 was me going down a checklist of new usernames that I COULD use, and scratching them out cause they sounded stupid.

Eventually I came to two names, ALOHA 737-700 and ALOHA-737-200, and well, -200 sounded freindlier, so I picked that one.

Now, the original reason for my name came from my goals. I wanted to become a pilot for Aloha and fly the -200 interisland. That will not happen now as Aloha and their -200s are going away, but I will still fly for a certain Hawaiian airline.

Recently I've had urges to change my username yet again, but I cant, so I'm stuck using an obsolete username for a plane that will be gone soon.  Sad

Oh well, at least it says ALOHA!!!

Aloha 737-200!!  Wink/being sarcastic
