Whatever it is, it is ugly... it lacks the grace of a luxury car.

Nice website though.

Not luxury? Come on.What do you know about luxury? Is the Ford Contour (if you are american) or the Volkswagen Passat (if you are european) more luxurious than this?

What a pity

Ok, I will give you a more detailed critique as to why I think the Thesis is (as we Americans call Butt-Ugly).

Looking at the photos of the car I see a bunch of disjointed elements. The strong protruding front cowl/grill is trying to imitate a Jaguar... but it really sticks out too far. The headlamps give it a bugish appearence, without the charm that Beattles have. The two front design elements, the grill and headlamps, make it look like it has a long snout and buggy eyes... not too flattering. The side profile reminds me a bit of the Daewoo Leganza... again not too flattering to have your styling compared to a Daewoo. The rear end reminds me of the new Altima, with the short decklid and high rear sill with the small rear bumper. Not that the Altima is an unattractive car, you'd just expect more in a luxury car. I see some elements of a Bently in the rear taillamps, but it seems to be merely copied, not original.

As for my definition of good looking luxury, I saw a Peugot 607 on TV and it certainly stands out in terms of European luxury cars... a tad bit conservative and probably wouldn't appeal to American markets but overall attractive. Personally I find the S-Class to be very well styled. Well proportioned, slightly conservative and understated. Everything the Thesis is not. The Italians have not really made a good looking sedan in ages, or ever really. Coupes and roadsters yes, but not sedans.

Hmmm....interesting.

I have to admit, that it greatly resembles the Jaguar S-Type (except for the back).

The back I find a bit strange though. But other than that, its a nice car.

Wouldn't mind having it.  Smile

Regards.

Theres beauty in its ugliness thats the best thing about it like that other ugly Italian beauty the Neapolitan Mastiff dog, personally I think the car is much better than the Merceds S class and the ugly new BMW 7 series, both of which are like a dime a dozen in the world, as are the Rolls Royce, Jaguar and Lexus every Tom, Dick and Harry wants one of those. Now this car is something else, I'll take the dog as well, http://www.cauchi.com.au/nepolitan.htm....... some day I wish Smile

I liked the Kappa much more! We had a Kappa for 4 years but then my dad bought a 525tds, and to be honest, I liked the Kappa even more then the BMW. I don't really like the Thesis, the Kappa had more class...

Just what I think

Airmale once you see the new 7 series out on the road you may well change your opinion.....i've always been a Mercedes person but the new 7 series is really something both inside and out.

Not that ugly if you ask me and much better than the Jaguar S-type, I know some one who owns the Jag in Karachi and believe me the infatuation with that just lasts for a short while, I prefer the E class Merc to the S-type, heres a pic of the Lancia with its predecessor http://www.km77.com/marcas/lancia/thesis/texto.asp. And here its front half definitely resembles a Mercedes http://www.micoche.com/cochenuevo/carnet/MODELOS/Lancia/Thesis/IndexB.html Smile
