Souds like a complaint to me.
That's why I asked.
FlyDeltaJets87 should be able to answer the question on his own.

Well, when every other street in Atlanta is "Martin Luther King" or "Peachtree", it can make finding your way around the city somewhat confusing.  wink

This might be something YOU'RE possibly not familiar with, but there are plenty of streets and places outside the US named after Martin Luther King.

Most every major city in Germany has at least one boulevard, street, square, school or whatever named after him.

Its a joke, and I would advise all non-US people not to even bother with it. We get it, but many of you on the outside will just think we are being dumb or racist.

KING. It's Martin Luther KING. Not the German Martin Luther.

Actually, the Iraqis could learn a lot from King vis-a-vis minority groups learning to adapt to a majority shiite majority and vise-versa.

More like a poor attempt at humor.
Be careful with your use of the word "We" because I am an American that does not find it funny. Millions of others here in America wouldn't find it funny either.

Keep in mind the thread starter once thought most of the illegal immigrants here in the US were from South America.  dopey

Reading comprehension. You should try it sometime. He didn't say "we find it funny. you won't". He was referring to understanding the joke. But if you weren't so busy trying to play the race card in every thread, you might have been able to catch on to this.

Quoting Superfly (Reply 16):
More like a poor attempt at humor.

My bet is you're throwing this out because it was a white conservative (me) who posted this.

If anything, this is in fact a poke at my own side of the argument, since I'm one of the supporters of OIF. The simple jist of this was "how much American influence is effecting the region because of how long we've been there (now just over 4 years).
But hey, leave it to the libs to find a way to bring racism into every issue, and then scratch their heads if and when race issues arise later on. Surprise, Surprise.

Quoting Rara (Reply 13):

So what was the point in putting "YOU'RE" in all caps? Insult perhaps?
My note on the bottom obviously helped someone out:

Quoting Carmenlu15 (Reply 4):

Obviously Carmelu15 understood what the note was for.

Quoting Superfly (Reply 16):

OMG. So you have nothing better to do than ride my ass for forgetting "and Latin America?" in that sentence in a post that when I went back and referenced, and found was close to 400 words in length and posted at 11:18 PM after what had been a long day for me? The fact that you remember this is quite sad, along with the fact that it's your only real "counter argument" here (We'll use that term loosely).
Hell, when you questioned me on it in the first reply (didn't take long before the party poopers entered the thread), I even tried to avoid this shit by adding a simple sarcastic remark of "Well, when every other street in Atlanta is "Martin Luther King" or "Peachtree", it can make finding your way around the city somewhat confusing   " and hoping to avoid the post I'm writing now. I avoided the knee-jerk reaction to see how you would later respond, but its obvious you have an axe to grind on this issue.

Quoting Airfoilsguy (Reply 10):
I can see this thread going no where good in a hurry.

**Points to Superfly** We couldn't even get past Post 1 before Superfly felt the need to add his "intellect".

Wow. Here's a shock. Superfly resorting to nitpicking and trying to point out insignificant details rather than try to focus on the points that HE brought up in the first place.

How about trying to answer all the questions and points from Reply 18.
Or will you find some little issue in this post to nitpick as well?

Quoting Superfly (Reply 19):
I have no idea what race you are and I really don't care.

This entire statement is bullshit and you know it.

This whole thread has been a case of "Damned if you do, Damned if you don't". I [correctly] add the note at the bottom to clarify the joke behind the picture for many of our a.netters outside the US (or even in the US) who otherwise wouldn't understand the picture. But instead of it just being that, a clarification, some buffoon obviously felt the need to come in and upon seeing that find a way to bring up the race issue and hijack the thread.
