Given my post was deleted in Civ-Air...I'll post it here. To clarify...the post to consider is: Iran Air To Caracas - We Did It! (by Airevents Mar 31 2007 in Civil Aviation)
Are US Citizens even allowed on this flight? I have to find it ironic--a route between two countries who's governments hate the USA, yet it's on a Boeing aircraft and the reg number is EP-IAD(sounds like a routing into Dulles IAP...)
Not meant to be a SLAM TO ANYONE...PLEASE. JUST WONDERING...
We haven't seen a 74L flying in the States in a long time...

US customers can definitely fly on Iran Air. How do you think many of the people from the US who are of Iranian heritage get to Iran? They don't all take European Airlines.

Ok..thanks. I wasn't sure if we had any of those "go there and you'll go to jail when you get back" rules with Iran and Venezuela, like existed in the '90s with Yugoslavia and (I think) still exist with Castro's Cuba.

Flying to Venezuala is certainly not a crime. Have you ever noted the amount daily flights between the US and Venezuela, esp. MIA?
RE the Iran Air situation, how and where do people connect on Iran Air. They don't have flights to the US do they?
