Sitting in traffic on the M6, spending a fortune on DIY... what do you do on bank holiday weekends?

I've never understood them, why do we still have them?

Sitting in traffic on the Sheik Zayed don't you mean?  Wink

I don't know the origin of "bank holidays" or indeed when the whole idea of public holidays (in addition to annual holidays) took off globally.

This weekend I hope to get the boat out and see if me changing the heat sensor will cure the problem of the engine overheating and shutting down. I already changed the impellor and thermostat and that wasn't it.

This year I promised that we would do more trips where the holidays fell in Friday / Monday, as last year it did seem that every holiday was spent painting something, or building something.

Breakfast in BHX, lunch in FAO, dinner in TIP, baggage in YYC.

I'm going shopping for a new lens for my camera tomorrow, then I'm going to take pictures; the weather in York is supposed to be just like it was today, and today was gorgeous.

 bigthumbsup
