No pool alas, but it was warm enough to sunbathe on my terrace today - at bloody last, this spring's been a shocker so far.

Be kind, you have an invitation. And you can wear your thong.

I'd take a dip anytime (mind you ours gets built this fall). We have been having higher than average temps. Supposed to be 90 today. I might have to break out the flannel.

In Andy's case, it would be the North Sea, he'd have to break through the year-round crust of frozen guano and Liverpudlian Tennants cans to get to the water.  yuck

With a few centimetres of snow and temps not above freezing in two days, I hope no one has opened their pools yet. lol

They better have some powerful heaters.

I ask the same question here! What Pool?

I only swim in the nearby river, and I have to wait until JULY for it to be above freezing temperatures, as the water is purely melting snow pack!

Cheers

Hehe...Ohio weather.

Last week, temperatures were touching 80ºF/26.6ºC, and a week later, its a sizzling 25ºF/-3.8ºC with snow on the ground.

Welcome to Ohio...my pool won't be "swimmable" until about mid-late June.

Tsk tsk - it USED to be the Irish Sea - they towed it round, it's now in the North Sea en route to the Thames estuary where it will be sunk as a tidal barrier. Best thing for it really.

The other peasants have informed you of the error in your geography, but I fear I must also lay in as you are an American and really should get a grasp of what goes where in the world!!  wink

As for the Francophile, globetrotting wannabe English Afrikaaner - well, he should know better!! And if he's sunbathing on his balcony then that'll be the coldest day in Nice this year as the sun disappears behind his bulk!  duck

I'd hope so! There is only 3 weeks left to the offical swimming season, Sunday after 25 April. That's also when surf beach patrols stop for the winter.

Snowing here in Cleveland Ohio and tomorrow is Easter!

Talked with the family yesterday and they said the snow was not only flying but sticking to the ground in Central Texas! As for up here in Vermont...well, the creek in my backyard has finally thawed in most parts, although I'd have to trudge through a foot of snow to get to the 33 degree water. 38 more days until the beach...
