NOTICE - This thread is not for discussion on gun regulation, how guns murder people, how innocent animals should not be killed by guns. This is for firearm entusiasts to post their comments. The firearms in these pictures are leagally owned and there was not anythin illegal about the activities portrayed.

Got together with a group of shooters this Saturday to have a fun shoot. There were paper targets, there were steel targets and there were exploding targets. There were plenty selective fire as well as silenced weapons. I think all the ammo expended in four hours exceeded the GNP of a Third World country. I took my AK, a Springfield SOCOM16, a Bushmaster M4, Glock 17, Springfield XD-9 Sub-Compact and a Kimber .45ACP. I did practice some for an upcoming steel plate match...

Here are the pictures including some from Dan Passaro who shot some very neat images.

Enjoy...

Take lots of pictures!!! Maybe we'll have to start a "match" thread, I hope to take more video of the IDPA match this upcoming weekend. It will be a classifier, so I'm gonna sandbag, don't want to get put in a classification where I can't win anything!

Easter here didn't want to cooperate with our shooting events.

Yeah, it really sucked out here in West Texas. We had an inch and a half of snow Saturday, the most snow the latest in the year we've ever had and a new record low high of 33, beating the old record of 38 set in 1935. Global warming MY ASS!!! Thanks for posting the video!

Miamiair, that looks like it was a helluva lot of fun! Thanks for posting the pics and the video! How many people / guns were at the meet?

There were about three suppressed AR-15/M-4s; one was selective fire. It was pretty neat firing three-shot bursts.

Quoting Queso (Reply 8):

There were 33 people there, the average was about three firearms p/p. I had seven there.

Though this range is not more than 30 yards, it is pretty neat that anything short of a howitzer goes.

Maybe even have a shoot/meet here some time in the future.

Any interest?
