Why Do I Feel Like Crap?

Ok, So last night, I broke up with my girlfriend of 7 months... The reason: I did so much for her, I bought her things, I gave her rides, I did everything... But she never appreciated it.. not once. She was always a bitch, she sent love letters to other guys, and finally last night, I told her it was over.

But why do I still feel like crap. I know she isn't worth the time, but I still feel like shit. I don't know if it is because I'm not used to being alone, or what?

Probably because you want your 7 months back. I have no GF either. I am thinking of taking ice skating lessons so i can get out there and meet a nice girl.
Try and meet someone who does alot for others that way you know she isn't a bitc h

That's what it is. Guys instintively don't like being made fools of. Well they realize that someone has taken advantage of them, they internalize their embarrassment and shame. That's because they don't tell anyone what happened. Doing so would be another blow to their delicate egos.

You probably feel cheated! Don't worry about it, you'll get over it. Like my dad sais it "There are over 6 billion people on this planet, half of them are women... you'll find another one"

Good luck mate... and try to concentrate on yourself

These are good pieces of advice. When you're ready (even the "cleanest" (for lack of better words) break ups can take time to get over) put yourself out there. Not necessarily with the specific purpose of getting another girlfriend, just go with the flow. Enjoy being yourself and do just that: be yourself. Girls can catch on rather quickly to a guy who's putting on an act.
It doesn't feel like it now, but things will get better, you will feel better and you'll find someone who is more than worth your time.

That's part of it, definitely.

Also, as soon as a relationship ends, your emotions start playing games with you. Suddenly, you can only remember the good times, and you start forgetting all the crap.

Just soldier on - as Ron Livingston said in "Swingers", it gets a little bit easier every day.

Well you feel like shit because frankly you've wasted 7 months worth of your time, care, and money. But you made the right choice by dropping her.

You'll feel better pretty quick though as soon as you notice you're not wasting anything on her anymore.

Thanks guys... I feel a little better... She's tried twice to lie to me already since last night...

1. She told me she had a date tonight, and wanted her stuff out of my car.. She wanted me to come over, so she could empty it. I told her write it on a list, give it to her mom, and I'll go over when she isn't there and give it to her mom.

2. Today, she told me that I almost got one of my friends grounded (who happened to be her friend).. Well, I talked to this person, and she said that my ex is just running her mouth.

You should feel great. I know plenty of guys that have gone through this for like 20+ years with the w-i-f-e. 7 months, you got off lucky.

This seems to be a recycle story with you, perhaps you should try catching the attention of a girl that a little higher upscale that what you been dating in the past. Of course, if she was treating you that way, why did you stay with her for seven months?

1. Tell her that she can get her ass over to your car to get her crap. You don't have to spend time and gas to go over to her place.

2. Search on the web and sign her address, and email address, up for offensive crap.

Just a question, if this girl was nothing but a high maintenance b***h, how did you even get hooked up with her?

Wow, she sucks, but you come across them every now and then, and most guys get fooled at least once in their lives. Just remember this and look for a new one...plenty of women out there. Congratulate yourself on being back on the market and be proud you dumped the nut before losing more of your life to her.

checkmark  Are you searching for these girls? If you really want a good one, hang out with people who aren't skanks and see which one likes you there. Might not get burned then.

Because sometimes they become high maintenance b***hs only after you hook up with them.  Wink

That sucks  frown . I would have never thought that a girl, seemingly attractive on the inside could do a 180. Then again, that is what happened with my uncle and former (ex) aunt.

The relationship you describe sound somewhat 'emotionally dependent'. These relationships have many manifestations. Yours sounds like a low self-esteem 'servant' complex on your side, attracting a low self esteem 'bully' on her side (compulsive lying and psychological manipulation are tell tale signs).

Stay Away!! You're profile sounds like one at risk of being manipulated back into the dependency through some sort of emotional blackmail on her part. Sounds like there have been two attempts already. Stay Away!!

You should probably ask yourself why you believed it was ok for you to be abused by her for 7 months. You deserve better and you need to believe it and show it to those around you. Women you want in your life will be attracted by your sense of self-worth (don't mean arrogance or conceit, but simple respect for your own worth).

You probably feel like crap because you have a tendency toward low self-esteem which has been inflamed by emotional abuse over an extended period. You believed you were receiving some form of compensation during the relationship, which has no been removed, leaving you only with the low-self esteem and wounds of the abuse.

Find people who can help you see your value and support your self esteem. Take a break from intense relationships and work on friendships doing things you enjoy for a while. Think of it as a 'spa', allowing you to recuperate your emotional heath. Then later on, healthier relationships will naturally follow, as they will be based on what you have to give rather than what both thinks they 'need' from the other.....

Oh, BTW, I'm the guy she's been sending the "love letters" to. I burned them all when I received them so don't worry, all I wanted was to nail her sister anyway.

Jacob,

You always have the worst of luck with these kinds of things. I remember when you delt with this sort of thing last summer. You'll get through it. And if she left her shit in your car I say you have a bonfire on her front lawn.
