You have just watched an interesting movie clip showcasing Apple OSX / "Wow" or any of the 1,000 of other clips on the Internet and whilst scrolling through the comments section you come across this as a comment:

"There are 20 angels in this world
10 are sleeping
9 are playing
1 is reading this

put this on 4 video comments within 15 mins,if u do, sum one u love will surprise u sum how!! If u don't , u will lose ur love.!!."

why.... but why do people post that. Like really, if I copy that 4 times I will end up falling in love. The only way I can think for that to work would be if the girl in question was standing behind me, watching as I post the comment 4 times.... swing round on my chair and touch my toes, or whatever has to be done to produce the preffered result. Even then if that is the case, there must be something wrong with her if she wants to go out with someone who she has never seen before in her life pratting around on a computer. What is your opinion on this and do you have any funny spam? Do you post the spam and if so what are your experiences? Do they work?

Matt

P.S Hmmm funny I only need to post that 3 more times before my dream date jumps out of the monitor and....hmmmm.... welll .... yeah

Because people seem to like to believe in odd superstitions. It makes them make them feel better when they do odd things like that. It is the same reason you see people posting threads in civ/av about how row 13 is unlucky without thinking that if the people in row 13 are involved in a plane crash so will the rest of the plane.

You think that's bad, you should see my myspace bulliten board. Every other bulliten is "Post this 5 times or a penis-less dog with 8 legs is going to kill you and rape your iguana" or something. Well, not as stupid as that, but not far from it.

Has anyone ever thought of creating their own spam comment and posting it on videos and seeing who does it? It could be fun.

An interesting fact is that there is no row 13 in Concorde. The row numbers jump from 12 to 14. I think that gives the plane even more charactor personally. I wonder wether any of the new cabin crew recieved pranks to do with "serving the lady/gent in row 13"

There would have to be a way of uniquely identifying the created spam so you could keep a track of how many people are using it. It would be an interesting exersize. I think that if there was one started on this forum, it would have to be something to do with the self pics threads  Wink Big grin
