Hi,
does anoyone have any experience with booking hotel rooms using http://www.asiarooms.com ??? They seem to offer some interesting hotel rates but I have not heard of them before so I'd be interested in hearing some references first.
Thanks in advance.

Oh, this is for hotel rooms? I thought this was for booking sessions with Lotus Flower with the inclusive Happy Ending in Hanoi.

Yep. We booked a hotel in Austraila with them recently. They were fine. As you pay Asiarooms, they make the booking in the hotel, but don't pass on your name till three days before your arrival. I think this is so you can cancel easily, though I'm not sure.

We found them very efficient, and had no problems with them at all.

Thanks for your reply. I found their rates for London to be very interesting (the rate they offer for a *** hotel I§m interested in is almost 20 GBP/night cheaper than cheapest, prepaid, no refund rate, 14-days advace purchase rate offered by that chain of hotels website).
BTW, since they are (I believe) Thai company using Singapore bank, do you remeber in what currency they charged your credit card?

Just checked my Visa statement and they billed me in euro. I think I remember an option coming-up on the screen to choose your currency, but I'm not certain of this.

They also sent an e-mail after my stay asking for feedback on the hotel, and there was also a link to my invoice from Asiarooms, also billed in euro.

There seems to be problems with asiarooms.com sometimes, especially when the hotels you select aren't offered as "instant confirmation". I haven't used them myself, but have read a few threads like this one on other sites:

We booked through Asiarooms on 10 Feb and had confirmation of the booking the following day. If there isn't instant confirmation, I would imagine the problem lies with the hotel and not Asiarooms.

By e-mailing afterwards looking for feedback on the hotel could suggest that they have had problems with some hotels and are building up a database.

I used Asiarooms when I was in Japan and was planning a trip to Sapporo. Got good rates, even though I was travelling during the busy season.

Cheers

Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.
