My family just bought a brand new Honda Fit. We got a red one. When we got it it had 8 kms on it, all eight driven in our test drive. We have never owned a new car before. It was perfect timing because as my dad was driving his old car in the driveway for the last time the car quit. May it rest in peace. Our family is the 2nd family to own a Fit in the town I live in, and that I think is kinda cool. I am happy because in less than 3 months I get my license, and that will be the car I drive.
Here is a Picture

Anyone else gen a new car recently?
As long as the number of take-offs equals the number of landings...you're doing fine.
Hmmmmm. I am semi-unenthusiastic about your new car graham. On one hand it's a Honda Fit. It's kinda dumb looking. On the other hand, it's not your dad's old car. And since I have to car pool in it every week, i accept the change.

Interestingly enough I was looking at the Mercedes Smart Car today at a dealership - but just for the fun of it. They are so interesting looking. I was not there looking to buy that car but it was there and it was teeny. It's time for CurtisMan to get a new car so the shopping is beginning.
Hey Flyboyseven - congratulations on your new car! How exciting with the new car smell the low km's and the feeling that nobody else has driven it. It sounds like you are very excited. Enjoy the car and study for your license!!!

Congratulations, on the Honda Fit. Honda builds a great car and I am sure you will enjoy it for many years.
I bought a new 2006 Honda Civic EX Coupe last August and absolutely love it. Nice and peppy, leather seats, XM, Navigation, Voice Recognition, 33 MPG. It is an all around great car for me. The Civic is my second Honda. My first Honda was a 1998 Accord that I drove 8 years and 130,000 miles.
Maybe I could drive it if the front seat was taken out and I am not tall.
I picked up a 07 Chrysler Sebring last week. Nice smaller car. i bought the 4 cylinder model, which is perfect for the mostly in town driving I do. The lease was up on my Dodge Magnum so I thought I would try a smaller car. The Magnum was nice, but the visibility sucked. It was hard to park in tight spots.

Going from a Magnum to a Sebring?
The Magnum was the bottom of the line model with plastic hub caps. The car singlehandly raised my insurance rates, with help from me. First the car is popular among thieves in the D. It got hit in a parking lot the first day I had it. I wrecked it at 1500 miles and the bumpers were always getting nicked up because the visibility was so crummy. The car was bad luck from day one. Plus it got bad mileage around town, which is wear I drive mostly these day. My Grand Marquis was better than the Magnum. It didn't even come close to the utility of my Benz wagon. The cargo area was so short you could hardly stick anything in it. It even sucked to "sleep" in at parties because there are these two holes from wear you fold the seat down. The Benz has a fold flat seat and way more cargo room.
No man needs two wagons. I had a girl break up with me a couple years ago who said " I told myself I would never date a man with a station wagon and you have two of them ".
