NEW YORK (AP) -- Rosie O'Donnell's stormy tenure on "The View" will be a short one. The opinionated host was unable to agree on a contract with ABC, and she'll leave the show in June.

"My needs for the future just didn't dovetail with what ABC was able to offer me," O'Donnell said in a statement Wednesday.

I wonder if the contract dispute had anything to do with the amount of toilet paper ABC was willing to provide?  duck

Thank God. I am sick of seeing that bitch on TV everyday. Although she will most likely end up starting her own show again because she has become "popular" once again.

I'm a little concerned this morning, because I agree with you, but I would not have used the same language.

I think she really created her own mess, though I never watched the show, just saw the clips on the news on web.

Interesting that she didn't have a contract to begin with.

No but in our command center we have Fox News on the monitor all day long, and who does Fox News slam all day? Rosie O'Donell. I cant help seeing her mug on the t.v. all day. I still have nightmares about the time she got into her upside down swing to demonstrate how she relieves stress. Seeing her in that position made me realize what starring into the depths of Hell would be like.

As much as I like Fox News, they and every other news outlet should leave her alone. She is just some fat woman with a mouth. I'm sure there is more interesting news somewhere.

She's the Phil Donahue of womens inane chat. After the Donald Trump spat, it just seemed like Fox News was giving Rosie exactly what she wanted, more press, more exposure. We all know how nutty this woman is, but giving a daily run-down of her foolish diatribes just provoked more out of her. Like Cfalk said, she isn't gone for good. She'll be back, probably with a show airing out San Francisco or something, parading mayor Gavin Newsome around.

Well that's a relief. I'm fairly certain the View is on 24/7 in Hell, so it'll be a tiny bit more palatable now if I end up there. Unless they replace her with Danny Bonaduce.

Apparently she had like a one year contract or something and they wanted to lock her up for longer than one year at a time and she didn't want it.

Saw it online today

Rosie's contract was apparently going to run out in June, when she will leave the View. There is no doubt that sometimes, perhaps too often, she is a 1st class jerk. Her comments at a recent dinner were not well liked and were quite inappropiate. I wonder if ABC intentionally took a hard line on a longer contract hoping she would reject it and go away. It is a good way to get out of what has become a potential liability. I do hope they choose someone who is a politically moderate, normal and decent looking woman. Mmmmmm, maybe Katie Couric?

I wonder how this will affect the ratings, which have increased due to Rosie?

It sounds like she isn't leaving for good. She will be back to talk about "issues" that are dear to her, but her full-time gig is over.

I honestly don't think we're getting the full story on this, either.

Rosie has an ego that's too big to share a stage with. My guess is that ABC low balled the one year contract knowing full well she wouldn't accept it. My guess is also that Barbra Walters, for all her public show of support during the Trump fight, is probably breathing a sigh of relief but will never publicly admit that. There can only be one queen bee in the hive at a time.
