Reading that made me think of Ace Rothstein getting blow'd up in the opening part of Casino. or the dude who got blown to bits owed somebody some cash.

That was filmed in the parking lot of Main Street Station. Some of us walked right past it going back to Fremont Street after Saturday night's dinner during the LAS Meet back in march.

It's really hard to determine (at this time) why this person was hit. While the police say there are no ties to organized crime here (if there really are, you know they'd want to keep that quiet to keep up appearances that the Mob isn't in Vegas), perhaps this person got a contract someone else wanted (the person wasn't an employee of the Luxor but apparently was a vendor of some sort) and someone decided to do some Old School Vegas retribution.
