Quoting StrasserB (Reply 1): I've tried it several times but it's always a "big empty hole", nothing happens.
Either it doesn't work or nobody was chatting.
So I leave it as it is and don't use it anymore.

The chat used to be fun. Whenever we have the right people, it can get interested. How wants to talk aviation 24/7? Definately gotta spice it up, whenever the mods aren't looking. I'm in a different time zone, some 13 hours ahead, so I dont bother going in the chatroom becuase when it's afternoon here, it's early AM on the other side of the world.
Other then that, typcial friday/saturday nights can be fun in the chat. While on most days, no one is talking, so I leave and it's pointless to look at a stupid blue screen while someone types in a damn word. Plus, it's usually Walter747, oldman55, and JamieD in the chatroom. It's not as fun as it was. Truthfully.
So, Walter747, whenever I'm in the chatroom and so are you, you better be talking. This is your thread.

I had a good conversation last night in chat, but 9 times out of 10 it is just a case of people signing in and going away - just to get their name on the top of the list (admittedly by some) which is extremely sad and rather pathetic. What does that then achieve, apart from a chatroom which looks busy but is in fact empty?
