I will be at CVG at the end of June for a meeting and will have half a day to myself. Anything in the area worth seeing?

I'd say change terminals if you have to do it and grab a newspaper. Go to the Delta connection concourse (C, not A) - the bakery at the end (as you face the gate agents, it's at the far left - arrgghhhh  banghead !!! I can't remember the name of it and the ComAir ramp tower guy on the phone just now couldn't help me, either) has good food. Park it and relax.

I know, I just figured there's not a whole lot around there to do  eyebrow  , at least, not in that time frame. I could definitely be wrong, though.

See if the Reds are playing a game at their new ballpark...looks to be a nice park.

There's honestly nothing to do. It's a very boring place for a daytrip. Maybe the locals can point you out a local food joint.

The proper term is "on final" not "on finals" bud...

If you have a car at hand and don't mind to drive to Dayton, OH, pay a visit to the USAF museum off Wright-Patterson AFB. http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/

Is the "Aircraft Viewing Area" off Rte. 236 (Donaldson Hwy) still open? It had a great view of Rwys 18R/36L and 9/27 when I was there nearly ten years ago - and after 9/11 I called the airport and they said that it was still open to the public.

Up, up and away!

I was there in 1990 and wouldn't mind going back, but they close at 5 pm and I am not sure I would make it in time.

Happy Birthday to you.

Still, even in the most arid desert is an airport somewhere ...

DEFINITELY go off the airport and go to either Skylines for some chili or La Rosa's for some pizza or get both. Then go to either a UDF or Graetar's for dessert. Other than that, not a whole lot to do in Cincinnati in your time frame. Maybe Newport on the Leve (Kentucky side of the river). Quite a few options there, including the Newport Aquarium. That or go to the heart of downtown and go up in the Carew Tower (if it's a nice day). Or possibly the New Underground Railroad museum in Cincinnati (not sure exactly where its located or the exact name of it, but the locals will be able to point you in the right direction).
