Quoting Vaporlock (Reply 1): I usually crawl into bed around 12:30am and always get up at 6am. So I guess I get 5 1/2 hours sleep a night.
That is pretty usual for me too, although the latter is not by choice. I love sleep and love the rare weekend feeling of being able to turn over and go back to sleep when I have forgotten to turn my alarm off after the working week.

I hear ya......I sometimes get to roll over and get an extra hour of sleep on the weekend, but not too often as my 3 cats and 1 dog usually wake me up because they want food or the doggie needs to go out for her morning walk.

Right now I'm getting about 4-5 hours of sleep per night on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights because I have to be up for work at 5:00 am, the other nights I'll get a good 8-10 hours of sleep because I'm either off or my shift doesn't start until 13:30.
A few years ago, I had a job that was really energy consuming. I worked eight hours a day, but I often had the feeling of having worked for two days. That meant that regularly on friday night I crashed into my bed at 8 or 9pm and slept for 15 hours. Finally I left that job, because I was too frustrated to sleep half of my week-end.
