I was just about to say...

That route only exists now because of the connection traffic through AMS. I've done both, the train took about three hours, the plane 45 mins, but that was before the high speed line opened. (I think it's open now?) The train was also much quieter than the Fokker 50 and a smoother ride!

It's not even finished , the Brussels-Antwerp trajectory is non existent up until now so it will run on regular track in the beginning.
Also I believe AMS-BRU by plane will still be considerably quicker because the HSS needs to make one or more stops.
