For anyone who's into dance music and/or the club scene - what are the best mixes playing in your area?

I'm curious to see what's happening in other parts of the country and outside of the U.S.

I've heard all sorts of things around here. However, in my hometown, karaoke is a big deal... and that could be anything....anything. (Pretty scary thought... you should hear Kai and his drunk karaoke nights Wink

Kai, what kind of songs play in the clubs in The Cities? (to keep this on topic) I can't seem to remember. I think there was a lot of hip hop type songs... anything else you can think of?

By the way, we're talking about Minnesota here... haha. Not exactly the biggest party state in the US. Wink

They do some dance music, but to please the...ehm....clientele, there's a lot of hiphop.

if its good dance music/ mixes ur after I would recommend you Hed Kandi label. try and have a listen to there latest dance mix. Its called Disco Kandi: the mix 2007

another good mix cd to get is Hed Kandi Classics 2006. absolutely awesome mix of all ur favourite dance tunes.

clubbers guide series by ministry of sound is not bad either.

Ok, got to admit a lot of house as well, but mostly in bars only, not in clubs.

That's the perfection of electronic music! Personally I prefer smaller clubs over big festivals like sensation black, but hey, the mix is good. If oyu want to please your ears get yourself the newest "DJ Networx" CD. Produced by the same label running my favourite club.

My favorite track right now is "The Real Life" (Mischa Daniels Refunk mix) by Leonid Rudenko. XM BPM plays it pretty often. Another great track of his is "Summerfish" and I prefer the Scandall Sunset on Ibiza mix of that track. Right now I'm playing Ultra Nate's "Bittersweet Melody" remix.

theres really no reasonable dance clubs around these parts outside of hiphop so ill just list some good music thats pretty recent

and if youre looking for some good mix cds, ultra trance 1-6 are very solid

its a bitch finding good techno/trance here in the states

the best song in the genre possibly ever is iio-smooth
