So now that I've settled into the Phoenix area for the second time, I was wondering who else is in PHX? I was also kind of curious if anyone was interested in putting together a PHX A.net meet?

I would drive up from Tucson , if invited .
Another idea though , come to Tucson, Pima Air Museum .. DM AMARC . I can also get us on ramps here in Tucson for some up close photos of.. F-16'S and commercial (TUS). Their is also a few good spots to hang out and get nice overflights of A-10'S ,EC-130'S etc. @ DM.
All the same Phoenix would be good .

Quoting Mhodgson (Reply 21): No, Oxford Aviation. I think Sabena are based in Scottsdale. When Oxford were based there we shared facilities (and possibly aircraft).
No sillies. Sabena was in SDL for a long time but is now at Falcon Field (Mesa). I believe that Oxford moved with them. I have had alot of experience with Sabena in SDL back in the day.

Sounds like a plan to me! I'm thinking Salty Senorita North Scottsdale, unless anyone has other suggestions.

26 Tom in NO: Just blew out of PHX yesterday on our family's never-ending summer roadie. Did a couple hours spotting at PHX on Tuesday, then caught the D'backs 1-0
27 Mhodgson: Possibly - I assumed Sabena just stayed there. Oxford now share their facilities with Lufthansa's ATCA.

29 AirframeAS: I should hunt you down! It always is. The 10 is a nightmare to drive on at anytime. But then again, 48th is also a nightmare in the afternoon rush ho
30 EA CO AS: There's another Salty Senorita in South Scottsdale (wow - now THAT was a tongue twister!)....or maybe Dos Gringos in Tempe?
31 Itsnotfinals: South Scottsdale works for me , as long as no one sends camera phone pictures to www.dirtyscottsdale.com
32 VSFullThrottle: Phoenix Metro here also, a meet sounds good to me.
33 Av8rphx: Two White Guys (Dos Gringos) is always good. If anyone likes Irish pub's there is a decent one over on 9th St and Camelback.
35 Asuflyer05: Dos works. Cheap Coronas. What day of the week works best for all of you?
36 AA61Hvy: Have it at the Yardhouse in Scottsdale... If there is a big showing I'd consider non-reving out there.
37 Cactus739: My schedule changes depending on the day...sometimes i'm off work by noon, others not till 10pm... y'all decide when and where and I'll see what I can
38 AirframeAS: Ooooo yer so busted! ROFL! Any day that I don't have a friggin section test/quiz/midterm/final.....
39 HPLASOps: I don't know what my work schedule is going to be like yet. I do know I have this upcoming Wed, Thurs and Fri off, beyond that is a mystery.
40 EA CO AS: Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays are usually best for me.
41 Fumanchewd: Christ people. Just say a time and place and I'm there. I may bring along a few non a.net aerospace peeps so lets keep the nerdiness down to a minimum
42 Itsnotfinals: Any weekend Preferably June 23rd or June 30th!

44 VSFullThrottle: Which Dos Gringos are ya'll talking about?
45 FLY2HMO: I might join you guys, though I'm up at PRC, PHX is just barely over an hours drive from here i'd be up for that. It would have to be on a weekend tho
46 EWRCabincrew: Maybe a more central location? Say downtown-ish? Or Central Avenue-ish. The George and Dragon on Central? British pub fare, low key.
47 AirframeAS: I can deal with that. Hard Rock Cafe perhaps?
48 EWRCabincrew: Anyone else? Sounds good. Just when, now.
49 Asuflyer05: How about Saturday, June 30th. The Dbacks are away in San Francisco. We don't have to worry about crowds or parking.
50 Luv2fly: With in the next 18 to 24 months add me to your list...... PHX here we come..... Yee Ha!

65 USAFHummer: Also, I'll be down in PHX for the CU-ASU game @ Sun Devil Stadium on September 8th...because its a night game, I will have to stay in the area overnig
