China Retaliates on Food Safety

BEIJING (AP) - Certain health supplements and raisins imported from America failed to meet Chinese safety standards and have been returned or destroyed, the country's food safety agency said Friday, turning the tables on America amid growing worries over dangerous Chinese products.

Inspectors in the ports of Ningbo and Shenzhen found bacteria and sulfur dioxide in products shipped by three American companies, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said . . .

I think I could make the same critique about y'all. In case nobody told you, the food, feed, pharmaceutical, chemical, and food ingredients business has been a worldwide one for a number of years, ever since people in Europe and elsewhere figured out "Hey! Even if all of us were farmers we couldn't feed our fat asses!"
